DESCRIPTION:
TilmiRhein Px is a medicinal premix for poultry and pigs containing Tilmicosin Phosphate to be administered in feed and drinking water
INDICATIONS:
Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic, synthesized from tylosin, to be used in pigs as feed additive for the control of respiratory diseases associated with:
Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae .
Tilmicosin has proven to be successful against Micoplasma gallisepticum in poultry. Can also be administered in drinking water
Tilmicosin is intercepted by macrophage and polymorphonucleo and transported to the infected zone, reaching high concentrations for long periods of time.
Its pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic action (antibacterial action, dependent concentration, good liposolubility, high tissue distribution, penetration and intracellular distribution) is particularly beneficial as it can be administered as single dose thus making it into a therapeutic tool against pulmonary, ocular and foot bacterial infections.
Its wide therapeutic spectrum acts significantly against both Gram-positive and certain Gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasma:
Pasteurella haemolytica,Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somnus, Mycoplasma dispar, Mycoplasma bovirhinis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Actinomyces pyogenes, Moraxella boris,
Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Clostridium perfringens, Fusobacterium necrophorum.
DOSAGE AND USE:
Pigs: Oral administration: 10 a 20 mg /kg per day, equivalent to 1 to 2 g of product per kg of feed.
Equivalent dose for drinking water is 0,87 g to 1,7 g per liter of drinking water.
Poultry: 10 to 15mg/kg per day, equivalent to 250 to 375 mg of product/ liter of drinking water.
Equivalent dose for feed is 350 to 500 g of product per ton of feed.
Pigs: Continuous treatment during 10 - 21 days.
Poultry: Continuous treatment during 5 days.
WARNINGS:
The product must be stored in its original container at a temperature between 10 and 35 °C
Keep out of the reach of children.
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
Persons showing known hypersensitivity to this drug must avoid contact with product.
The operator must wear mask, eye goggles, rubber gloves and overall.
Keep adequate ventilation when administering prodcut.
Handle with care on pregnant animals and those destined for rearing.
Once mixed with feed, duration of product is 15 days.
For drinking water use, it is recommended to prepare the daily quantity to be consumed. Do not use solutions whose time of preparation exceeds 24 hours.
Use restrictions:
The meat of treated animals must not be released for human consumption before 7 days of the last treatment
Do not use this product in animals whose eggs are destined for human consumption.
