Chemotherapeutic - Injectable Solution

FORMULA:
Every ml of product contains:
Enrofloxacin base                                50 mg
Excipients q.s                                        1 ml
INDICACIONES:
Broad-spectrum injectable chemotherapeutic drug belonging to the quinolones group, at an enrofloxacin concentration of 5%, indicated for the treatment of infectious diseases caused by Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasmas.
Used in birds, bovines, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and felines for the treatment of primary and secondary gastroenteritis, urogenital infections, respiratory infections, arthritis, dermatitis, metritis, mastitis and other infections caused by germs sensitive to enrofloxacin. 

SPECIES:
Birds, bovines, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, dogs and felines.
DOSAGE AND USE: 
Bovines, sheep and goats: dose: 2,5 – 5 mg/ kg lw, route: SC / IM, quantity: 0,5 - 1 ml/ 10 kg
Birds and rabbits: dose: 5 mg/ kg lw , route: SC / IM, quantity:  1 ml/ 10 kg
Pigs: dose: 5 mg/ kg pv , route: lw, quantity:  1 ml/ 10 kg
Dogs and felines: dosis: dose: 5 mg/ kg lw , route: SC / IM, quantity:  1 ml/ 10 kg

Application: every 24 hs for 3 to 5 days.
Bovines: do not administer more than 10 ml subcutaneously in the same point of injection. 
Pigs: do not apply more than 2,5ml through the IM route of administration in the same point of injection. 
The dose shall be adjusted at the veterinarian’s discretion.

WARNINGS: 
Antagonistic effects can be shown when jointly administered with chloramphenicol, macrolides and tetracyclines. 
Do not administer simultaneously with xanthines or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Like other fluorquinolones, enrofloxacin has damaging action on articulations, especially in young animals. Consequently, the proper dose of enrofloxacin must be administered, without increasing the dose or the time of treatment excessively. 
After administration, some irritating effect can be produced in the injection point, but it will disappear spontaneously in 4-5 days. 
Do not administer to dogs during the first year of life. When pedigree dogs of big sizes are involved, due to the fact that their growth phase is longer, the product should not be administered during the first 18 months of life. 
Do not administer in cases showing resistance to other quinolones as some cross resistance can occur. 
Do not use in dogs with epilepsy background.
Do not treat female animals during gestation and breast-feeding period. 
Avoid in cases of myasthenia gravis.
Do not use when hepatic or renal damage is involved and avoid exposure to UV light.
Do not administer in cases of hypersensitivity to enrofloxacin. 
Keep out the reach of children.
The operator must wear a protection mask, goggles, overall and rubber gloves.
Use restrictions
The meat of animals being treated should not be released for human consumption purposes until, at least, 28 days after completion of the last treatment.
Do not administer to egg-laying hens whose eggs will be consumed by human beings.
Withdrawal period in milk: 7 days.
Keep at temperatures between 4° and 25°C.
