OxiRhein LA is highly active for an extensive list of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as much in aerobes as in anaerobes, and also in susceptible microorganisms among which we can find: certain species of mycoplasma, rickettsias and clamydias from the lynphogranuloma group; psitacosis, protozoa and pathogenic fungus as well.
Therapeutic Usage Concept:
With only one application it provides sustained levels of antibiotic in blood during 3 to 5 days. The extended action characteristics go along with those of a broad spectrum antibiotic.
The preventive treatment can be established in risky circumstances such as cattle transportation, weather factors, surgeries, dystocial parturition, castration.

Bovines, Ovines and Porcines: 1 ml/10 kg. b.w. (equal to 20 mg. Oxytetracycline kg. b.w.). Poultry and Rabbits: 0.25 ml/kg. b.w. (equal to 50 mg. Oxytetracycline kg. b.w.)
Administer by DEEP INTRAMUSCULAR means in all species.
It is suggested that the dose be divided and applied in separated places, not exceeding more than 20 ml. per applied point. In more than 50 kg. ovines it is suggested that the dose be divided and proceed as in the previous case. In pigs with less than 10 kg. apply by subcutaneous means beneath the ear; in animals with more than 10 kg. the application must be intramuscular.
